Fall at RAD Camp

Ages 4 – 12

As summer fades to fall RAD Camp likes to relax into smaller groups and more educational programming. We learn about the abundance of the harvest season, get creative with the plants we’ve grown in our gardens, and provide tutoring and support for our local homeschool community. We have options for different families that are seeking different levels of play and education, and are always open to building custom programming for families that reach out to us for a specific need. This year we are excited to offer tutors for multiple age groups and school subjects, alongside our regularly scheduled arts and crafts and garden exploration.

RAD Fall Camp

    • Whether they come to camp with prior garden time or not, we help them learn confidence around learning the plants and their needs.

    • Everything in our garden is edible and beautiful, so we frequently challenge children to think creatively use our harvest in our snacks and art.

    • We use recycled or natural materials for the vast majority of our art and craft projects. We hope that inspires your kids to look more creatively at the waste we make.

    • Kids get experience growing edible flowers and a variety of fruits and vegetables.

    • We love exploring freshly grown fruits and veggies, often using our solar oven or garden to make special treats

    • We use our creativity and energy to encourage environmental stewardship in an inclusive and safe learning space.

    • Our low student-to-teacher ratio means each kid gets personalized attention when pursuing their interests in the garden and at the craft table.
