RAD Community Gardens!
Welcome to our new gardens!
It began with putting a few seeds in the ground, but has quickly grown into something much bigger than us. Every day it feels more and more important to be connected to the food we eat and the community we live in. Our new RAD Gardens are intended to bring more of our families and neighbors together as we grow some fresh, organic produce together.
Our children’s RAD Camp has been growing a garden together for three years now, and tending to and exploring our garden is usually the highlight of our camp days. Now we’re excited to announce that (timely) community partnership has made it possible to dream bigger and provide a better resource for our larger community.
We are so excited to welcome you all to our new space! It may not look like much yet, but as the garden beds roll in and the soil falls into place we are eagerly looking for people like you to help us make this project a reality.
Chickens!
Our Spring and Summer RAD Campers had the honor of helping raise a few feathered friends to join our gardens this year. Starting out as handheld little babies, we soon decided they were such a fun part of camp that they needed to stay. After a few weeks of securing and decorating their coop, building a pen to protect their new home, and throwing a chicken coop-warming party- Raven and Marshmallow and their friends love their home at the Mountain Chick Inn.
Introducing the RAD Greenhouse!
Through the tireless commitment of our leaders and immeasurable amount of collaboration across our mycellium network of friends- we can finally present the RAD Mobile Greenhouse.

Our founder, Ilanna, has been fostering this idea for quite some time, and the right alignment of stars and passionate community members made it all happen. Heaps of gratitude to First 5 Siskiyou and LV Tiny Houses for their work and collaboration as our team dreams up new ways to use this space to share a love of gardening around our community year-round. We are excited to pop up around town to bring our vibrant RAD flair to local events in a whole new way. The finished framework for the greenhouse is locally hewn and built, but we still need your support to complete all the details to make this a fully self-contained, regenerative unit.
